I'm photographing at the WA All Arabian show, 28 & 29 March 2009 (this weekend!).

I've borrowed a couple of nice lenses and got the 40d as usual, should get some brilliant shots with all this gear.. can't wait!

Anyone going that knows me.. pull me aside, would love to catch up! I'll be wearing the Rival Arabians shirt as usual.

Well all, I've finally done it.. bought my 40d. I'm one happy girly now! I've decided to take on general pet photography as well as horses. Got my new website up (just need a clever domain name still) at: [link]

The shoots are rolling in steadily, the first week I had an impromptu shoot at Catrin Arabians, taking some nice shots of Arabian mare Aaisfa who is currently for sale (in foal too!) and her new Arabian mare, Shania. Both lovely mares - pics yet to come as I want to upload full prints.

Then on June 14th I had a shoot at a cat breeders! I got to shoot the most incredibly beautiful Burmese and Tonkinese cats.. enjoy the pics - they will be going up gradually this week. It was my first "studio" style shoot with lights and backdrops (Wow, theres a challenge, huh?) and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. I've got a few in mind to submit for possible magazine covers, and they will certainly be going into some competitions, being the best I've taken by far!

So just over a week ago (19/4) I had a photo shoot to do of the pure Arabian mare Noran Anniversaryy. Boy was I excited when I saw she is a very dappled grey!

The shoot went very well despite the threat of rain! We had lovely gray skies which gave me near perfect lighting for much of the shoot, although I had periods of dazzling sunshine to contend with occasionally, which blew out the exposure on some of the pics. I was REALLY hoping for some wind to get some artistic tail shots - I got a couple but it died off far too quickly.. bugger!

Katie and her mare Annie were impeccably presented which made my job so much easier (thank you!) and they are such a sweet pair to photograph. You can see how much Katie loves her horse. The property was just gorgeous too!

They will be a stunning pair to watch for in the ring - just gorgeous under saddle, and I do hope they try liberty - boy that mare can turn it on, just like her sire! The Night of Stars is coming up guys!! *hint hint*

The only downer was I'd hoped to have a new camera for this shoot - will definitely have a 40D for the next one though.

And I think I've done it in style, with the two latest 'formal portrait' style pics of my puppy, Lucy.

Hopefully only to be beaten next week by some rocking pics from my photo shoot of the Arabian horse Noran Anniversaryy.. keep your eyes peeled..

Meanwhile, I would love some feedback on the puppy pics.. what do you think? Slight departure from my usual style!

Hi everyone, I'm still here!

Have been super busy lately.. just bought a house and a puppy (i'll upload a pic!)... on the artistic front, been busy finishing a website, starting a new website and trying to find the time to scan my latest (and IMHO, best) sketch.

Big plans in the works for some new equipment... in the next 2-3 months a modbook (YAYAYAY!) which will be absolutely awesome for digital painting and photomanips, woohoo!!

Oh and the macbook gets 2Gb RAM finally next week. Photoshop CS really doesn't like 512Mb!!#@$

Camera: hopefully in the next 6 months a new camera. I'm looking at the Canon EOS 40D at the moment but giving it lots of thought (opinions welcome! ). Certainly over the Sony f828 at the moment, its driving me nuts in terms of noise/purple fringing and AF speed. And I have to do a photoshoot with it next month. Drats!

Watch for pics from the shoot though, should be pretty special! especially if we hit the beach
